Proximity Cards & RFID Tags
Proximity cards are contactless cards with an antenna embedded inside and are considered one of the leading smart cards. These are read-only cards and the information on these cards cannot be manipulated. These cards work on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and can be used for access control, identification and security.
Similarly, an RFID tag works by transmitting and receiving information via an antenna and a microchip — also sometimes called an integrated circuit or IC. The microchip on an RFID reader is written with whatever information the user wants.
